It’s probably known by most of us,that recycling is a huge way to live GREEN. But,not all of us live in an area where it is easy to recycle,i.e.,living in a small town where there are no recycling services provided by the community. Such is the case with me. I do not have the room to keep recycling bins in my condo,so I think I am going to request that the City provide the service. It never hurts to ask.

GREENING the home office…
As more and more of Americans have business opportunities to work from home, there are several things that I have become aware of,allowing GREEN to merge into yet another avenue of our lives. One such idea is simple and also creates less need for storage. Unless a document needs to be printed, don’t print. If the document does need to be printed, use two sheets of recycled paper to print a four-page document,by printing on both sides. Also, whether in the home office or a different business address, use recycled paper products and washable cups, plates, utensils, etc. Make sure to carry even the simplest GREEN idea from one area to another. If we can learn to incorporate the basics of GREEN living in our everyday life, when the opportunity presents itself,we can THINK GREEN in the larger issues that present themselves, such as building construction. The simplicity with which I write these thoughts is not an attempt to insult anyone’s intelligence, yet, make us all more aware of how we must begin incorporating GREEN into our everyday lives.
Sarah, you’re right on here…the simple steps to green living are the easiest to maintain. For me,I’ve begun to pay closer attention to recycling in my kitchen and now I tend to notice those who don’t!
Living Green begins with the simplest of actions.
